Lying flat, the leg on a size Large LungeMan is 13" across. 

The LungeMan shorts are very stretchy and conform to your body. Once you put them on and move around in them a bit, the legs will break in and the fabric will drape nicely on the legs. If you are in between sizes, you should determine going up or down based on whether you have thick or slim thighs or if you want a slim or looser fit.
